Berufsschule Cham goes Europe: Dublin - 2nd week

In the second week the internships in different companies started for all of us. But the week had other highlights, too.

Magdalena started her work experience in a vegan cafe where smoothiebowls, salads and coffee are offered. She was immediately welcomed with a friendly "good morning, how are you" and then led to her place. Her job is to take care of the finance program. She records new invoices and receipts into the program and checks the existing ones.

 Anna-Lena works at Martin & Gately Solicitors. She is at the reception. Her main tasks are to answer phone calls, write letters for the lawyer or run errands to the bank, court or post office.

For us it is a great opportunity to improve our language skills and to get to know another workplace.

Tuesday meant not only work but also entertainment for two of us! US-American superstar Christina Aguilera performed at 3Arena. Cannons of confetti included.

On hump day most of our group met at Dicey's. On Wednesdays the drinks only cost between €2 and €4. So it's really recommendable!

The next day we all went to the Grand Social Pub to participate more or less successfully in the pub quiz. Pub quizzes are quite popular and almost every pub hosts its own quiz regularly.

On Saturday we did a guided bus trip to Northern Ireland. Our first stop was at the Titanic museum in Belfast which was so interesting. Many pictures and videos showed us the story behind the incident.

Then we went to the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. The bridge connects the mainland with an uninhabited island.

Our final stop was at Giant's Causeway. There are about 40,000 square stones on the coast which all have the same shape. It looked stunning! The UNESCO rates Giant's Causeway as a World Heritage.

It was a long day, but a nice one.
